50 North

50 North offers programs and services to support adults who are 50 and older by enriching their lives and supporting their independence.

50 North has a Mobile Meal delivery program with hot and cold meals available for purchase. We also offer a Grocery Delivery program. Both of these programs are for Hancock County residents 50+. Please call 419-423-8496 for more information.

Associated Charities

Associated Charities will conduct an assessment (in-person or via phone) related to rental housing evictions, support for the homeless, utility disconnections, prescription discount cards, HATS tickets and other such emergency needs.

Christian Clearing House

Donations to Christian Clearing House (CCH) are used to provide emergency assistance for our neighbors facing financial, emotional,or spiritual needs in Hancock County. Approximately 1,200 local lives are touched each month by our organization and your charitable donations and several fundraising events.

City Mission

Free dinner every day. Attend chapel at 4:45 and dinner afterwards. Food boxes available upon need.

Since 1998, the City Mission has seen an increase in men, women, and families seeking both emergency shelter and longer term stays in order to establish employment and find permanent housing. The City Mission now provides three meals a day to Residents who are utilizing our Day Center, established in 2010, to seek employment and housing. The Mission also continues to serve the needy of the community though evening meals, seven days a week, and twice weekly food box handouts.

FOCUS has a wide variety of programs and welcomes all pathways of recovery. FOCUS is home to The Recovery Center (adult center), the "i am somebody" podcast, The LOFT (youth center), and multiple recovery houses; a Men's house, Women's House, and Mom's House.

Hancock Hardin Wyandot Putnam Community Action Commission (HHWP CAC)

The mission of HHWP Community Action Commission is to reduce the conditions of poverty by providing comprehensive services to improve lives.

To accomplish our mission, HHWP CAC collects and analyzes data on the nature of poverty and the existing resources in the area. HHWP CAC involves public and private agencies, as well as the population to be served, in developing action plans to address needed services. These activities often include helping other agencies to improve and expand their services and assisting with the development of new organizations. HHWP CAC will seek out governmental and private resources to initiate and administer innovative programs in such areas as employment, education, housing development, transportation, health, emergency needs, food/nutrition, advocacy, etc.

Hancock Metropolitan Housing Authority

Hancock Metropolitan Housing Authority's (HMHA's) mission is to provide safe, decent, and sanitary housing conditions for very low-income families and to manage resources efficiently in the administration of HUD's Housing Choice Voucher Program. HMHA's goal is to promote personal, economic and social upward mobility to provide families the opportunity to make the transition from subsidized to non-subsidized housing.

Hope House

Hope House serves homeless and impoverished individuals and families in Hancock County. With the help of dedicated volunteers and generous donors, Hope House assists with securing safe and affordable housing for over 7,000 individuals each year.

Born out of the need for homeless services for women and children in 1990, Hope House now provides a continuum of services that help individuals and families locate and permanently maintain housing. In addition to the Hope House Shelter, Hope House serves as the Front Door for housing assistance in Hancock County out of its offices in The Family Center.

The Housing Office located in the Family Center is open. We are asking that whenever possible, those in need of services schedule an appointment prior to coming in. When space allows, walk-ins may ring the bell for immediate service. To schedule an appointment or to complete an intake please call 419-427-2848.
