For 35 years CHOPIN Hall has been on the front lines of getting food into the hands of people in-need in our community. Our faith-based volunteer-driven organization is able to leverage every dollar donated into many pounds of food.
Donations to Christian Clearing House (CCH) are used to provide emergency assistance for our neighbors facing financial, emotional,or spiritual needs in Hancock County. Approximately 1,200 local lives are touched each month by our organization and your charitable donations and several fundraising events.

Since 1998, the City Mission has seen an increase in men, women, and families seeking both emergency shelter and longer term stays in order to establish employment and find permanent housing. The City Mission now provides three meals a day to Residents who are utilizing our Day Center, established in 2010, to seek employment and housing. The Mission also continues to serve the needy of the community though evening meals, seven days a week, and twice weekly food box handouts.

The Salvation Army provides a variety of programming throughout the year to people in need. Assistance can vary from a food bag, to help with utility disconnection, or even clothing and furniture. We may help a young child struggling with school, a person trying to overcome challenges associated with substance abuse addiction, or a senior unable to get out of their home. Whatever crisis the family is experiencing, The Salvation Army is there to listen and provide comfort and support. The Annual Appeal at Christmas helps us help others, not only during the holiday season but also throughout the year.
Open to the general public from 9am to 11:30am every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Volunteers are welcome to come earlier at 8am to help prepare and get ready to serve.
